Urban Decay Mariposa Palette: Review and Swatches

New to Sephora stores, and sephora.com, is an all new and exclusive palette for the holidays! This is the Mariposa palette by Urban Decay.
There are 10 shadows, and it includes a travel size eyeshadow brush.

The top picture is the packaging. The palette arrives in a nice, sturdy tin box.It is a gunmetal-ish color and there is a butterfly on the front as well. I think that the packaging is nice, its very portable- but my only issue is that I wish it had a mirror inside!
The second picture is a good view of the inside, with all the shadows and brush.

<- and with flash.
The color swatches are shown the the same order as the palette, top 5 left to right, and bottom 5 left to right.

Review time! In all honesty, I wasnt particularly thrilled 100% about this one. To me, I feel like the 4 exclusive shades aren't all that great... They really have a lot of fallout, and are not as pigmented as I would like them to be :(
It's not my favorite, but its not all that bad either ,there are a couple of my favorite colors, Rockstar and Gunmetal. I think that thisis a good palette maybe for one that is new to the brand,or to makeup in general. It would make a really good gift to give as well!

You can find this at any Sephora store,or at www.sephora.com.
The price is $39.00

I hope this review and these swatches helped!

Stay pretty- inside AND out!!
Jenni :)

Let's Get NAKED! Review of Urban Decay's Naked Palette

Okay, so this is my first review.
I love this palette, (along with everyone in the whole world!). It is a versatile, quality palette. You can really do any type of look, or the colors can be used as bases, or accent shades to add more depth to your look. I could really just go on and on about this palette, but i'm sure you get my point- I just love it, andif I didnt have it in my makeup stash, well lets just say that would really suck!

So this is what the palette looks like, chocolate brown velvet with gold foil lettering.

And this here is the inside. The palette houses 12 beautiful shadows. All of which are incredibly, highly pigmented, and easy to blend.
It also includes a travel size Primer Potion (not pictured), and a Good Karma Shadow brush. Now this brush isn't like the dinky little brush/sponge deals that usually come with  most eyeshadows. The Good Karma brush is an actual high quality brush. It really packs on the shadow, and you can also use it to blend out colors in the crease.
The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is a Godsend! Haha not really ,but you get my point, right?? With just a tiny bit of this stuff, your shaow and liner will truly last ALL DAY & ALL NIGHT! It dries clear and cancels out any type of redness,or anything funky you've got going on on your eyelids. It acts like an eyeshadow magnet and helps your shadow to go on soo much smoother.
From left- right:

These are all the shadows. They are swatched out in the same order as you would see on the palette.
*All shadows are put on over the primer potion*

The following descriptions are from www.sephora.com:
Virgin (nude satin)
Sin (champagne shimmer)
Naked (buff matte)
Sidecar (beige sparkle)

Half Baked (bronze)
Smog (golden brown shimmer)
Darkhorse (bronze-plum shimmer)
Toasted (taupe-bronze)
Hustle (mocha shimmer)
Creep (near-black metallic)
Gunmetal (dark grey metallic)
I hope you all have a chance toget your pretty hands on this. The price may be a bit steep- but trust me, it is rally worth it. This is such a versatile, everyday palette, it really pays off in the end!

You can find this palette online at www.urbandecay.com www.sephora.com www.ulta.com
Or in stores, Macy's, Sephora, Ulta, etc.
The NAKED palette price is currently $48.00.

Once Upon A Time. . .

  There was a girl.
And she loved to play "dress-up" with makeup.
She loved to put on lipstick, apply blush and eyeshadows, and preen in the mirror. Even as a young girl, she knew how much she loved to play dress up with makeup. Then she became older and into her teen years, and now into her 20's. . .
And so begins the never-ending love affair between the girl and her makeup. . .

Hi guys! This is Jenni here and I'm just a girl that loves makeup, and wants to share that! I'm not a professional, or professionally trained in any way, shape, or form, I just have a real love for makeup and making myself and others feel good :) I think I'm considered to be whats called "self-taught".This is a spot for all my thoughts on the makeup I use, (mostly Urban Decay, thats my favorite!) have, and possibly would like to use. So I hope everyone enjoys, and if you have any questions, please, don't be a stranger, feel free to ask me anything :)

I hope you all have an amazing, beautiful day!
